About us!

After more than 10 successful years in Colchester at the family run pub www.thecricketerscolchester.co.uk, it was time to expand into new opportunities in the idyllic setting of Manningtree. The Allum family have a natural ability of providing great service, excellent food and a welcoming atmosphere wherever they go.

In early 2023 The Crown received an amazing makeover introducing an outside terrace seating area and wonderful four room hotel. The terrace overlooks the estuary where you can watch paddle boarders, swimmers and families enjoying the small beach directly opposite the pub.

The new hotel is one of only a handful of places to stay in Manningtree. The luxurious rooms are stylish and offer a restful place to explore the local area. The pub is also dog friendly so its the perfect place to take your your furry friend for a night away.

The Management and Staff Team look forward to meeting you!
